Ethical Principles and Malpractice Statement

The Journal of Computer Science and Emerging Trends (JCSET) is committed to upholding the highest standards of ethical practices and integrity in scholarly publishing. Authors, reviewers, editors, and all involved parties are expected to adhere to the following ethical principles:

Authors' Responsibilities:

Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must ensure that their work is entirely original and appropriately cite or reference any content derived from other sources. Plagiarism in any form is unacceptable.
Authorship: All individuals who have made significant contributions to the research must be listed as authors. Proper acknowledgment of others’ work or contributions should also be provided.
Data Integrity: Authors should present accurate research findings and data. Falsification, manipulation, or selective reporting of data is considered unethical.
Multiple Submissions: Manuscripts under consideration or already published elsewhere should not be submitted to JCSET.

Reviewers' Responsibilities:
Confidentiality: Reviewers must treat received manuscripts confidentially and refrain from discussing the content with others or using any information for personal advantage.
Objectivity: Reviewers should evaluate manuscripts objectively, providing constructive feedback and avoiding any personal bias.
Conflict of Interest: Reviewers must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that might influence their judgment of the manuscript.

Editors' Responsibilities:
Fairness: Editors are committed to fair and unbiased evaluation of submitted manuscripts, irrespective of the authors’ identity, origin, or affiliation.
Confidentiality: Editors and editorial staff must maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and refrain from disclosing any information regarding them.
Decision-making: Editorial decisions are based solely on the manuscript’s quality, relevance, originality, and contribution to the field.

Malpractice Statement:
JCSET takes allegations of ethical misconduct seriously. If ethical concerns are raised regarding a submitted or published manuscript, appropriate actions will be taken in accordance with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines. Such actions may include retraction of the article, investigation of the issue, or communication with relevant institutions or authorities.
